Objective: Students will be able to demonstrate their understanding of concepts in Chemistry by completing the Chemistry in Action Formative Assessment.
Directions:
If you are doing a presentation, consider the following outline:
- Complete the Warm-up for the day under "Warm-up Activities".
- Complete Chemistry in Action Formative Assessment--work with your hero and be ready to present tomorrow (Wednesday-11/20).

Objective: Students will be able to explain the result when excited electrons fall back down to a lower energy level by completing the Flame Test Lab Write-up.
Directions:
- Complete the Warm-up for the day under "Warm-up Activities".
- Complete the Flame Test Lab Write-up--the document can be found in your inbox or in the shared Chemistry folder. The write-up is worth 40 points so FOCUS!

Objective: Students will be able to thoroughly describe the structure of an atom and its components as well as be familiar with the periodic table and the elements by completing a Blendspace lesson with checks for understanding embedded.
Directions:
- Go to the Blendspace Lesson by clicking on the link.
- Complete the lesson before you leave the class. Make sure to answer all of the checks for understanding (there should be 3) or you will get a zero for the day.
- Be on TASK! There is a quiz tomorrow (Friday)
- If you finish early, work on your Chapter 5 Vocabulary which is also due tomorrow.

Objective: Students will determine the number of protons, electrons, and neutrons as well as the mass number and atomic mass of an element by performing multiple calculations on the given problem set practice.
Directions:
- Go to the your inbox and find an e-mail with the subject: "Wednesday's Activity for Chemistry". Within the e-mail, click on the link "Atomic Structure Practice".
- You may work with your elbow partner in order to complete all three parts of the assignment.; however, DO NOT BE OFF TASK. Use the whiteboards and markers provided to do Chemistry work ONLY.
- Make sure to COMPLETE the problem set by the end of class or you will get a zero for the day.
- Use your time WISELY and FOCUS. There will be a QUIZ Friday 9/26.
- If you finish early, work on your Chapter 5 Vocabulary--the book is under RESOURCES-->download Chapter 5. The Vocab is due Friday 9/26.

Objective: Students will practice scientific notation and simple metric conversions by proficiently completing the problem sets provided.
Directions:
- click "Conversion & Scientific Notation Problem Set".
- Make a copy of the document and turn it in through the Sub-Work Turn-in Form below.
- Go to slide #2 and thoroughly read the directions.
- Complete the problem set before you leave the class. Make sure to turn it in!!
Reminder: There is a quiz tomorrow on this so please use your time wisely and practice, practice, practice! There will be NO LAB tomorrow so you don't have to dress up for lab day.
